Data in several places complicated the evaluation

Klimatex is a Czech company with a turnover of 146 million last year, which has been producing sportswear since 2007 and selling it through several distribution channels: on its e-shop, in brick-and-mortar stores and through its partner network Sportisimo. The client's internal data from these sales channels was inefficient and often inconsistent in its interpretation.

Klimatex approached Databy with the following requirements:

  • To significantly simplify access to information,
  • to process data from all sales channels in one place,
  • to get an overview of product profitability after accounting for marketing costs,
  • be able to better manage the company and plan sales for the following seasons,
  • easily compare company performance across different periods.

3 steps to a data-driven company

In order for Klimatex to draw useful information from its data, we had to change the way it looks at and works with it:

1. All the data in one place

First, we created a clear data model in Power BI, into which data flows from the company's ERP system and all marketing channels.

2. The data is organised into a single view across the entire Power Pool and the entire data management system.

Then, we helped the client build several clear reports where they can get detailed information about the company's status and all the trends in a few clicks.

3. Training on how to use Power BI

Finally, during a one-day training session, we gave Klimatex practical hints and tips on how to work with data at the management and marketing level.
